He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Cox and Sally Head Cox; and his siblings, Richard, Billy, Lonnie, Jerry, Linda and Joyce.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Cox; his children, John J. Cox (Heather), Jana Fountain (David), Ken Horton (Michelle), Christy Rezgui, Lori Kurta (John), Carolyn Brown and Billy Beck (Jamie); his sisters, Gail Herring (Mike) and Sally Cox; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Corey, Danny, Claudia, Eli, Christopher, Isaiah, Ava and Ansley. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
