She is survived by: her children, Anthony "Tony" Moon of Carlton, GA, Suzanne "Suzy" Moon (Jeff Hill) of Comer, GA, Jonathan "Jon" Moon (Nicole) of Talmo, GA, Jason Moon of Carlton, GA and Cynthia "Cyndi" Moon (Haley Neal) of Colbert, GA.; her grandchildren, Nick Moon (Elley), Cole Moon, Chasity Jordyn Moon (Samantha), Logan Burgess (Michaela), Ethan Burgess, Megan Sorrow (Justin), Christian Moon, Jonas Moon, Ian Moon, Cameron Stevenson (Brittany), Cortney Stevenson and Eden Brown (Alice); her great grandchildren, Braxton, Bryson, Bailynn Sorrow, Liam Moon, Blake Burgess, Arin and Kian Moon; and her sisters, Floretta Thomas of Indian Trail, NC and Lorraine "Doodle" Allen of Athens, GA..

Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes (4355 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
