It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Annette Powell Curl of Collins, Georgia, who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Annette may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Annette touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Troy Powell and America Sikes Powell; her siblings, Fred, James, Ray Powell and Mary Lou Rewis; and her grandson Nathan Curl.
She is survived by: her sons, Roy Curl (Dianne) of Mt. Vernon, Dean Curl (Dawn) of Collins, Robert Curl (Jenny) of Collins and Ricky Curl (Kathy) of Collins. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kennedy Funeral Home - Cobbtown Chapel (37196 GA-23, Cobbtown, GA 30420). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Kennedy Funeral Home Cobbtown Chapel (37196 GA-23, Cobbtown, GA 30420). A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Cemetery (1199 Cedar Creek Church Rd, Collins, GA 30421).
