He was predeceased by: his son Rodney Pond; his parents, James Franklin Hester and Lillian Brooks Hester; and his siblings, Frank Hester, Linda Hester Cook and Donna Hester Swain.
He is survived by: his wife Lana Brinson Hester of Collins; his sons, Eddie Hester (Carol) and Carlton Pond (Cindy) of Vidalia; his brother James E. Hester (Robin) of Reidsville; his grandchildren, Nicholas Hester (Kayla), Robby Poole (Savanna), Lili Lott (John) of Blackshear, Brooke Poole (US Navy) of Pensacola and Dalton Pond (Skyler); and his great grandchildren, Bentley, Kaysen, Maggie, Grant, Sylvie, Cade and Calessi.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home (310 North St W, Vidalia, GA 30475). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
