With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alto E. Wilkerson Sr. (Columbus, Georgia), who passed away on May 9, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Mae Casey and Cauley Jewel Wilkerson; and his wife Mattie Pearl Gibbons. He is survived by: his children, Peggy Wilkerson Heitmann (Frank Heitmann), Pamela Wilkerson Land (Michael), Gina Wilkerson Pulliam (Scott Pulliam) and Alto Eugene Wilkerson, Jr. (Brenda Wilkerson); and his grandchildren, Stuart Allen Gambill, Derek Wilkerson Gambill, Alana Pearl Gambill, David Nicholas Hayes, Nolan Eugene Hayes, Christopher Scott Pulliam, Savannah Michelle Pulliam Grigg and Taylor Locke Pulliam. He is also survived by nine greatgrandchildren.
