He was predeceased by : his granddaughter Elle Joyce Marks. He is survived by : his wife Barbara Janes Marks; his children, Brandwyn "Buffy" Marks Swinehart (Steven), Ashley Marks Beard (Morgan) and Andrew "Andy" Wilson Marks, Jr. (Lindsay); and his grandsons, Steven Trent Swinehart, Jr., James Talmadge Swinehart, Alexander James Beard, Andrew Wilson "Will" Marks III and Mason Guy Marks.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Luke Methodist Church (301 11th St, Columbus, GA 31901). A reception was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St Luke Methodist Church (301 11th St, Columbus, GA 31901).
