He was predeceased by : his mother Beatrice Crowell. He is survived by : his wife Barbara Mahone; and his daughters, Angela Jackson, LaWanda White (Oscar), Shelia Mahone Belt (Jack) and Marie Mahone Allen. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and a host of relatives.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sconiers Funeral Home (836 5th Ave, Columbus, GA 31901). A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery (553 AL-165, Fort Mitchell, AL 36856).
