As we bid Barbara Joan farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Barbara Joan is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis F. Hunt and Viola Witte Hunt. She is survived by: her son Nathaniel H. Chambers (Andrea); her grandson Felix; and her brother Francis Jr. (Barbara). She is also survived by four nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews, and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the CSU Foundation for student scholarships in the College of Letters and Sciences, to the CSU Honors College, to Interlochen Arts Academy, or to an animal rescue of choice.
