He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Johnson Spillman and Carl Malbert McAuley, Sr.; his wife Chieko Anzai McAuley; his sons, Richard C. McAuley and Robert S. McAuley; and his siblings, Mary Cann, Edith Carver, Ella Collister, Jack McAuley and Raymond Spillman.
He is survived by: his daughter Pamela S. Bunch (Anthony); his grandchildren, Matthew B. Bunch (Melissa Duncan) and Tara M. Henderson (Martin); his great grandchild Maddox M. Henderson; and his sisters, Ruth Parr and Betty Farley. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
