With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol Leggett in Columbus, Georgia, born in Meridian, Mississippi, who passed away on May 17, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward W. Brown and Susie Kate Hyde Brown; her siblings, Edward C. Brown, Ralph Alonzo Brown, Buford H. Brown, Agnes Aunita Harbour, Dorothy Anna Gill, Susie Rebecca "Ruth" Ray and Ollie Jean Walston; her nieces, Kay Ray Davis, Rebecca Ray Edwards and Kim Brown Naseman Wilson; and her nephew James Butch Ray.
She is survived by: her husband J. Willard Leggett III; her children, John C. Leggett (Julie) of Calhoun and Laura Leggett Raines (Steve) of Columbus; her granddaughters, Kate Leggett O'Toole (Patrick) of Nashville, Tenn., Lucy Leggett of New York City, NY, Caroline Leggett of Athens, Eliza Raines and Olivia Raines of Columbus; her brother Vernon E. Brown of Enterprise, Miss.; and her nieces and nephews, Genia Gill Sherwood (Tenn) of McKenzie, Barbara Ray Jensen of Houston, Lori Walston of Ft. Dunedin, Fla., Denny Walton Jr. of Lutz, Fla., Edward Brown of Foley, Ala., Don Brown of Enterprise, Rev. Al Harbor of Eufaula, Ala. and Mike Harbor of Seattle, Wash..
