He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kay Cool and Paul Cool; his wife Kathi Cool; his children, Amy Stay (Rourke), Alicia Cool (Gerry) and Nick Cool (Laura); his siblings, Pam Viland and Paul Cool; and his grandchildren, James Love, Adelle Stay, Greta Stay, Fern Stay, Marigold Cisneros and Fiona Cool.
