He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Ellis and Erma Kipp Ellis; and his brother Floyd Earl "Tut" Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Jan Etta Klipstein Ellis; his daughters, Suzanne (Joe Best), Stephanie (Randy Richau) and Cynthia (Philip Cook); his grandchildren, Ellis Cook (Kala), Avary Base (Kyle), Emory Cook, Alena Jackson (Everett), Trey Carpenter (Mallory) and Ethan Cook; his great grandchildren, Ivy Jackson, Caroline Hall, Delilah Cook, Walker Hall, Charlotte Cook and Wyatt Jackson; his sister-in-law Diane Ellis; and his nieces and nephews, Valerie Jochen, Marley Richards and David Kipp Ellis.
