He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Helms and Allene Storey Helms; and his brother Larry. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Neal Helms; his children, John (Shana) and Barbara; and his grandchildren, Carley Mac, John David and Hazel Marie Helms. He is also survived by three nephews and a niece.
