It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Strickland Sr. in Columbus, Georgia, born in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 8, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Esther Abuga of Kenya, Africa; his son David Strickland, Jr.; his grandchildren, DaiAuna M. Strickland and Adaysha R. Strickland of Aliquippa, PA; his siblings, Warren H. Strickland, Jr. (Darlene) of New Brighton, PA, Anna S. Lindsey of Hogansville, GA, James D. Strickland of Aliquippa, PA, Reverend Robert Strickland (Colleen) of Opelika, AL and William Strickland of Auburn, AL; his cousins, Gwen S. Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Loranna Simmons of Warren, OH and JoAnn Blackmon (Cody) of Auburn, AL; and his close friend Ursula F. Riggins of Aliquippa, PA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
