He was predeceased by: his parents, A. D. Hampton, Sr. (Lee Logan Hampton) and Don; and his brother Gregory Hampton. He is survived by: his wife Lillian Hampton; his children, Don Hampton, Jr. (Kenya) and LaQuita Hampton (Brandon Slacks); and his siblings, A. D. Hampton, Jr. (Cheri), John Hampton (Gladys), Dean Hampton (Barbara), Sylvia Presley, Sherry Robinson (Fletcher), Denise Hampton and Zelda Evans (James).
Visitation was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sconiers Funeral Home (836 5th Ave, Columbus, GA 31901). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Nazareth Baptist Church (526 Radcliff Ave, Columbus, GA 31906). A burial was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at the Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery (64-66 Custer Rd, Columbus, GA 31905).
