We are sad to announce that on May 11, 2026, at the age of 85, Dovie Jean Long (Columbus, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Davis Kyle Long; her parents, Isaiah Edwards and Zelma Edwards; and her siblings, Thomas Edwards, Henry Guy Edwards, Bertie Lee Lebaron, Fannie Pearl Johnson and Annie Valera Rolling.
She is survived by: her sons, Ben Long (Dana) and Timothy Long (Tammy); her grandchildren, Keller Long (Taylor), Abbey Wright (Justin), Jacob Starling (Brooke) and Cody Starling; and her great grandchildren, EmmaLeigh Jane Long, Kash Long, Harris Wright and Kamp Long. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
