He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Carlisle of Columbus, GA; his sons, Ernest "Chris" Christopher Carlisle of Boulder, CO and Mark Besecker Carlisle (Beth) of Columbus, GA; and his grandchildren, Andrew "Drew" Robert and Emily Elizabeth Carlisle.
