He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Mark Carlisle and Maggie B. Williamson Carlisle. He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Carlisle of Columbus, GA; his sons, Ernest "Chris" Christopher Carlisle of Boulder, CO and Mark Besecker Carlisle (Beth) of Columbus, GA; and his grandchildren, Andrew "Drew" Robert and Emily Elizabeth Carlisle.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory (3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
