She was predeceased by: her siblings, Margaret, Clarence Sturdivant, Joe Sturdivant, Jane Bales and Billy Sturdivant.
She is survived by: her husband Carter Marchant; her daughters, Kelly Lewis (Charlie Lewis) and Kim Whittle (Kevin Whittle); her grandchildren, Mallory Lewis, Austin Royal (Kaitlyn Royal), Victoria Swilling (Hunter Swilling) and Alex Royal (Lila Loudermilk); her great grandchildren, Beckett Swilling and Vince Royal; and her sisters, Claire Raiford and Manelle Sturdivant (Nelle).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Emily's memory to Georgia Hospice Care 1921 Whittlesey Road Suite 110, Columbus, Georgia 31904 or the Alzheimer's Association—two organizations that reflect the care and compassion she so freely gave to others.
