He was predeceased by: his mother Nadine Meadows Blount. He is survived by: his father Melton Blount; his wife Pat Blount; his children, Nancy Parmer of San Francisco, CA, Malanie Trawick (Bo) of Columbus, GA, Emory Edward Blount, Jr. of Perry, GA, Gary Blount (Marla) of Camden, SC, Brandon Jenkins (Dana) of Ellerslie, GA and Brittany Brossett (Nathan) of Columbus, GA; and his brother-in-law Calvin Heath, Jr. (Katherine) of Columbus, GA.. He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory (3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory (3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907).
