He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Glenn Edwards and Ethel Rogers Edwards; and his siblings, Clarence Ray Edwards, Wilma Dahan Edwards Blankenship, Alvis Cecil Edwards, Bertha Marcella Edwards Day and Phyllis Coriene Edwards Hanlin.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia Nadine Cantrell Edwards; his daughters, Deborah Edwards Pressley Gordon (Steve) of South Carolina and Cathy Lynn Edwards Munson (Rodney) of Fortson, Georgia.; his grandson Aaron Pressley (Cori) of Woodstock, Georgia.; and his great grandchildren, Grayson Pressley, Neely Pressley and Rylee Plott. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the piano fund of the Columbus Seventh-day Adventist Church in Eugene's honor.
