She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosie Lee Comer and Fletcher Tolbert, Jr.; her husband Benjamin Eiland; her daughter Clara Briggs; her sisters, Mary Francis Collier and Rubie Lee Smith; and her son-in-law David Oates.
She is survived by: her children, Rosie Oates, Jimmy Jones, Jr., Johnnie Jones, Susie Duffie and Martha LaGrand (Stephenson); her siblings, Daisy Bellamy, Gennie Alexander (Bobby), Bernice Williams and Eddie Tolbert; her son-in-law Alfred Briggs, Jr.; and her daughter Dorothy Rushing. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.
