He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leonard Earl Hoffman and Barbara Jean Rathbun Hoffman; his brother Richard Rathbun Hoffman; his wife Anne Hoffman; his children, Amy Hoffman Carlson and Matthew Frederick Hoffman; and his grandchildren, Riley Christopher, John Wesley, Meghan Piper, Grace Marie, Gabriel Matthew and Zoe Charis. He was also cherished by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Striffler-Hamby Funeral Home (4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907).
His contributions to his family and community were profound and lasting.
