He was predeceased by: his parents, Garnett Emory Ray, Sr. and Virginia Cole Ray; and his nephew Wesley Ray. He is survived by: his wife Maureen Findlay Ray; his children, Garnett Emory Ray, III (Jennifer) and Anne Ray Prater (Anthony); his grandchildren, Justin, Emily, Austin and Findlay; and his siblings, Kitty Stringfellow, Harriett Turpin and Ernie Ray (Tammy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members.
Flowers are accepted however in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to New Mountain Hill Elementary School care of The Harris County Board of Education Office at 132 Barnes Mill Road, Hamilton, GA 31811.
