It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Georgetta (Washington) Leonard in Columbus, Georgia, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on November 16, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Carter; and her siblings, Dennis Washington, Marilyn Dickerson and Hattie Stoudemire. She is survived by: her significant other Billy Joe Leonard. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Progressive Funeral Home (4235 St. Mary's Road, Columbus, GA 31907).
