She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosenda Rivera and Ramón Rivera; her husband Ismael Espada-Reyes Sr.; and her siblings, Ramón Rivera, Margot Ortíz, Visi Rivera and Maria Consobre.
She is survived by: her children, Ismael Espada Jr. (Martha), Otto Espada (Secalee), Ben Espada (Michelle) and Diana Wall (Darryl); her grandchildren, Jessica Espada, Katie Espada, Allison Fernandes (Ben), Grant Espada, Nathan Wall (Elisa), Garrison Wall, Elena Espada and Elise Espada; and her great grandchild Aiden.
She was a lifelong contributor to charities, making hundreds of rosaries for missionaries and continued donations to St. Jude Children's hospital.
