She is survived by: her husband James Powell, Sr. of Columbus, GA; her children, James Powell, Jr. (Mary) of Burlington, NC and Patricia; her grandsons, Bryan Lassiter (Morgan) of Midland, GA, Jason Cole Lassiter (Carina) of Columbus, GA and Joseph Jaure (Alexa Ward) of Mebane, NC; and her sister Victoria Dusinberre of Hornell, NY. She is also survived by her aunt, numerous nieces and nephews.
