He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Passailaigue and Jack Passailaigue; his former wife Harriett Springer Passailaigue of Atlanta; and his daughter Harriett Springer Passailaigue. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Long; his daughters, Martha Passailaigue Miller (Gary), Laura Passailaigue Porter, Mary, Passailaigue Mize (Carter) and Dee Dee Passailaigue Tebeau (Tom); and his stepdaughters, Mary Lynne Smisson Cumiskey (Chuck) and Patty Smisson Simkins (Mark). He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and 7 step-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Trinity Episcopal Church or the Clara Tebeau Light in the Dark Foundation at the Community Foundation of Chattahoochee Valley, which was founded by his granddaughter to support mental health services for local youth.
