He was predeceased by: his parents, James T. Chesnut, Sr. and Hazel Chadwick Chesnut; his sister Joyce Thomas (Anne Adams Chesnut); and his son Tommy Chesnut (James T. Chesnut, III). He is survived by: his son Robert (Bobby); his sister Carol Kennon of Fortson, Georgia; his nephew Ben Kennon (Wendy) of Salem, Alabama; his grandson Ryan Chesnut (Calista) of Fayetteville, Georgia; and his great grandchildren, Gavin and Olivia. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friends.
