He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Vasbinder and Charles Kerns; and his siblings, Edward Kerns and Audrey Spears. He is survived by: his wife Christine Kerns; his sons, Scott Kerns and James "Smo" Kerns; his grandchildren, Maggie, Lucas, Kurk and TJ; his great great grandchild Kamrun; and his nieces, April and Tammy.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Parkhill Cemetery (4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907).
