He was predeceased by: his father Claude Knighton. He is survived by: his wife Rae Newman Knighton of Columbus, GA; his daughter Emily Kilcrease (Adam) of Phenix City, AL; his grandchildren, Adalyn and Emersyn Kilcrease of Phenix City, AL; his brother Tony; and his sister-in-law Dee Mitchell of Midland, GA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
