It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jane Grandon of Columbus, Georgia, who passed away on August 25, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jane Grandon to pay them a last tribute.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Jane is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Jane's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James W. Hughes and Montez Caldwell Richardson; and her son David Thomason. She is survived by: her husband John E. Grandon of Columbus, GA; and her children, James Harrell (Robin), Robert Wagers, John Wilson and Lisa Wilson Sanders of Columbus. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
