We are sad to announce that on October 9, 2023, at the age of 92, Jean S. Stapleton (Columbus, Georgia), born in Lumber City, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Robert E. "Tunney" Stapleton; her parents, Adell H. Smith and Barney C. Smith; her siblings, Eudelle S. Crowley, Vera S. Brashears and Barney S. Smith; and her sister-in-law Janis J. Smith.

She is survived by: her daughter Denise D. Stapleton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Those wishing to honor her memory may make donations to either the Grace Baptist Church Building Fund at 2915 14th Avenue, 31904 or Paws Humane Society at 4900 Milgen Road, 31907.
