She was predeceased by: her parents, J. D. Dukes (Ola Mae Bulloch) and Ruby; her husband Jerry Ray Smith; and her son Dwayne Starnes. She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Miller (Justin), Keith Starnes (Raquel) and Mike Smith (Carole); her grandchildren, Chelsie Starnes and Angela Garcia (Guillermo); and her sister Dot Smith.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Grace Baptist Church (2915 14th Ave, Columbus, GA 31904).
