He is survived by: his wife Flaline Whitehead Thornton; his children, Rhonda Davis (Mark), Sonya Goodroe (Greg), Crissy Wise (Brent), Angela Thornton, Heather Goff (Philip) and Timothy Thornton; and his siblings, Johnny Thornton, Richard Thornton and Rita Richardson (Rusty). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
