She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Brooks and Louise Smith Brooks; her spouse Major Sanders; and her sons, Walter Washington and Kenny Washington.
She is survived by: her children, Eric D. Washington (Charlotte), Charlotta Whitaker (Shawn), Sharon W. Walker and Audrey Jackson. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; and a host of relatives.
