He was predeceased by: his parents, John Norbert Jasper, Sr. and Mary Alice Griffin. He is survived by: his wife Margie S. Jasper of Upatoi; his daughters, Laurie Perry (Ron) of Upatoi, GA, Alison Jasper of Columbus and Alicia Jasper of Columbus; his sister Elizabeth Winget of Charlotte, N. C.; his grandchildren, Ian Perry of Columbus and Erin Perry of Upatoi; and his sister-in-law Jeanette Jasper of Columbus. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church, PO Box 51 Box Springs, GA 31801.

“Family & Friends of John..... John was my Yardmaster at our Columbus Yard, when I went there in 1983 as the Terminal Supt... John was an excellent Yardmaster and did a good job for me and the railroad.. I don't remember exactly when John retired, but I was transferred to Savannah, in 1988... I still remember John making is turkey calling devices and sitting up there in the tower clucking them... John is 2nd from left in this photo..”
