She was predeceased by: her father James; her stepfather James Callier; her son Dexter Phillips; her siblings, Edward Coleman, Herman Coleman and Carol Walker; and her granddaughter Catherine Phillips Fairley.
She is survived by: her son Tony Phillips; her granddaughters, Deanna Phillips and Victoria Phillips Powers; her siblings, Jimmy Coleman (Geraldine), Ben Coleman (Juanita), Particia Tolbert (Willie) and Cleo Newbery (Gilbert); and her friend Grace Taylor. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
