She was predeceased by: her parents, W. E. Sims and Mary Sims; her husband Lewis Leon Barton; her son Gerald Barton; her son-in-law Wayne Lumpkin; and her grandson Johnny Wayne Lumpkin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jimmie Manning (Roger) of Montgomery, AL, Jan Lumpkin of Columbus, GA, Lois Creamer (Eddie) of Ellerslie, GA, Mary Ray (Ed) of Columbus, GA and Hazel Hicks (Robert) of Cataula, GA; her daughter-in-law Rhonda Barton of Lovettsville, VA; and her grandchildren, Sherry Tsimpides (Mike), Carolyn Wilson (Chris), Jeannie Clark (Rodney), Jamie Lumpkin, Lisa Krause (Jason), Karen Vaughn (Craig), Chris Ray, Matthew Ray (Purvi), Will Ray (Rachel), Kimmi Butler (Adam), Jeremy Hicks (Fiancee-Lauren) and Jansen Hicks. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren.
