He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mary Kathryn Coker Payne and Hershal John Payne; his wife Jennie Bowden Payne; his children, Kenneth Payne, Jr. (Kelly) of West Point, GA and Leigh Payne Brooks (Robert) of Cataula, GA; and his grandchildren, Breanna Laine Brooks Owen (Riley), Harlan Robert Brooks, Gage Claude Payne, Destiny Deeann Payne, Kimberly Leighann Payne and Johnnie Michael Payne. He was also cherished by two children, a son and daughter.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary (4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Wynnton Methodist Church (2412 Wynnton Rd, Columbus, GA 31906).
