As Larry departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Larry may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Larry leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eleanor Cooper McVey and George Washington McVey, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Blanton McVey; his daughter Angela McKenny (Brandon) of Tallahassee, FL; his stepson Jay McLoughlin (Deb); and his brother Edward H. McVey (Ruth). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Everyone thought highly of him and his contributions to assisting boat captains/owners of a variety of boating vessels during his tenure with Palmer Johnson, InterMarine, and Thunderbolt Marine all of Savannah.
