He is survived by: his children, Sifiye McClendon, Malcolm X, Dwayne McClendon, Wilson McClendon, Luke McClendon, Jr., Akeem Smith, Shirley Pettus, Kisha Cunningham, Alta Smith, Mamie Smith, Shavonne Smith and Sheritta Smith; his brother Moses; and his former wife Michelle Wymes-Bailey. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
