It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lynda Jackson James of Columbus, Georgia, who passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father John Willie Jackson Sr.; and her siblings, John Jackson Jr., Samuel Jackson, Larry Jackson, Rena Jackson, Mary Louise Ford, Carolyn Brewington, Gwendolyn Jackson and Deborah Jackson.
She is survived by: her mother Vera Mae McLucas; her husband Eustace James; her daughter Pamela Holmes; her son-in-law Jonathan Holmes Sr.; her grandchildren, Jonathan Holmes Jr. (Dyamond) and Jasmine Holmes-Piesco (Ross); her great grandchild Ogun Holmes; and her siblings, Dennis Jackson, Ricky Jackson, Maurice Jackson, Janice Reed and Vickie Jackson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
