Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Maria leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl Georg Zech Sr. and Martha Zech (Christ); her husband John David Jones (JD); and her siblings, Karl Zech of Florida and Waltraud Dechant of Germany.
She is survived by: her son Arlen Jones (Paula) of Arizona; her sister-in-law Margaret Zech; and her sibling's children, Michael Zech (Ruth), Uwe Dechant (Anja) and Petra Ziedler (Peter). She is also survived by several grand-nieces and great-grand-nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Parkhill Cemetery (4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907).
