She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Franklin Shelton and Virginia Katherine Wyatt Shelton; her husband J. W. Brown of Clopton; her sons, Ellis "Bo" Holloway and Jeff Holloway; her brothers, Johnny Franklin Shelton Jr., Tim Shelton and Andy Shelton; and her granddaughter Madelyn Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah McGough, Maurice Brown, Tony Brown and Cathy Jackson; her grandchildren, Chris Jones, Brandon Holloway, Beth Holloway, Darren Holloway, David Brown, Andrew Brown, Hope Sewell, Jeffery Jackson, Brittany Ezell and Kellie Brown; and her sister Jackie Thomas (Ken). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory (3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907). A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
