He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy M. Johnson and Marie T. Johnson; and his siblings, Maxine Malmstrom, Joanne Schlegel and Ralph Lee Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Bowen Johnson of Ellerslie, GA; his daughter Melanie Reiney (Brad) of Midland, GA; his stepdaughter Heather Valcourt (Dana) of Bessemer City, NC; his sons, Matthew Johnson of Ellerslie, GA and Marty Johnson (Joy) of Las Vegas, NV; his stepson Michael Farmer (Susan) of Ohio; and his grandsons, Jacob Reiney (Katelyn) of Midland, GA and Blake Reiney of Midland, GA. He is also survived by seven step-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and his beloved pets.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory (3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM.
