He is survived by: his children, Lynn Smith, James Yates and Melissa Powell; his sister Elizabeth Wooddell; his grandchildren, Candice, Alison, Heidi, Crystal, Christopher, Michael, David, Avory, Jacob and Justin; and his siblings-in-law, Fredda Ward, Glenda Camper and Eudson Sellers. He is also survived by his 21 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary (4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Fisher Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary (4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907).
