It is with sadness that the passing of Meta Fooks Rickard (Columbus, Georgia) is shared. Meta, born on August 5, 1934, passed away on October 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nelson Irving Fooks and Meta Stuart Shackleford Fooks; her brother Robert Nelson Fooks; her husband Daniel Sprague Rickard; and her daughter Ann Bolling Rickard Haller.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Bolling Fooks Whittemore; her sons, Paul Daniel Rickard (Brooke) and Thomas Stuart Rickard; and her grandchildren, Mason, Molly and Sarah. She is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Episcopal Church (1130 1st Ave, Columbus, GA 31901).
