He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Franklin and Mary Elizabeth Ballard Bradfield; his brothers, Murray (Barbara) and Alvin (Jane); and his son-in-law Lucius Powers (Lisa).
He is survived by: his significant other Jenny Lou Leverett Bradfield; his brother Claborne (Ann); his children, Lisa Powers, Laurie Money (Jim), Norman Baxter "Brad" Bradfield, Jr. (Dawn) and Luís; and his grandchildren, Jenny Lee Hattaway (Brett), Emily Money Hendrick (Micah), James Caleb Money (Lauren), Julianna Money, Norman Baxter Bradfield III, Mary Casey Stone (Christopher), Roby Bradfield and Isabelle Powers. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; and numerous adoring nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
