Patricia B. Benson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia B. Benson of Columbus, Georgia, who passed away on July 18, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Patricia B. Benson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Geoffrey Herman Binneveld and Ellen Whitt Binneveld. She is survived by: her husband Brown Benson; her daughters, Ellen Stewart (Andy) of Gainesville, GA and Claire Ouimet (Jason) of West Springfield, VA; her granddaughters, Elizabeth, Emily Stewart, Grace and Katherine Ouimet; her brothers, Jeff Binneveld (Bonnie) and Bill Binneveld (Becky); and her siblings-in-law, Joanne Rogers and Sims Benson Sr. (Burgin). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Way-Watson Funeral Home (1052 Dr Deryl Hart Rd, Buena Vista, GA 31803). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Episcopal Church (1130 1st Ave, Columbus, GA 31901).
Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Kappa Alpha Theta Think Theta Building Fund in memory of Pat Binneveld Benson of the 1967 class.
