She is survived by : her spouse Lynn Avery (Warren Beatty); her children, Kyle Bair (Mark) of Columbus, Lissa Mummert (Jimmy) of Columbus, Susanna Avery-Lynch (Joseph) of Italy, Lane Avery (Baret) of Chattanooga, TN, Lynn Avery (Karla) of Atlanta and Patrick Avery (Heather) of Columbus; her grandchildren, James, Mark Allen, Anna, Patrick, Elizabeth, Patricia, Maddie, Grayson and Allie; her great grandchild Kairi; and her brother Carl Hett of Columbus.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (212 12th St, Columbus, GA 31901). A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
